1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

All data generated by your use of the App is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This includes:

  • Study progress (pages read, chapter completion)
  • Question progress (seen, mastered, and incorrect questions)
  • Flagged and bookmarked items
  • Practice and mock test session history and scores
  • App preferences (theme, accent colour, font size, text-to-speech settings)
  • Test date setting

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

2. Personal Data

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the App. The App functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for its core features.

3. Text-to-Speech

The App uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read study content and questions aloud. This processing happens entirely on your device. No audio data is recorded, transmitted, or stored externally.

4. Advertising

The free version of the App may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including:

  • Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
  • General device information (device type, operating system version)
  • App usage data for ad personalisation

We request non-personalised ads by default. You can control your advertising preferences through your device's settings.

You may remove all advertisements by purchasing a Premium subscription (see Section 5 below).

For more information, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers optional Premium subscriptions and one-time purchases to unlock additional features and remove advertisements. These purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Available Purchase Options:

Premium โ€” Monthly (Auto-Renewable Subscription)

  • Duration: 1 month (auto-renewable)
  • Price: As displayed at the point of purchase in the App
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase
  • The subscription automatically renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
  • Manage your subscription in your device's Account Settings

Premium โ€” Lifetime (One-Time Purchase)

  • A one-time purchase that grants permanent Premium access
  • No recurring charges

Subscription Management:

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings (iOS: Settings > Subscriptions; Android: Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions). Cancelling your subscription will stop future charges, but Premium access persists until the current period ends.

Data Collected Via Subscriptions:

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers and transaction history to manage your subscription status. For more details, see: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

6. Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (screen views, interaction events) to help us improve the experience. For more information, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The App may contain links to external websites (such as the GOV.UK test booking page). These sites have their own privacy policies.

8. Data Storage and Security

All App data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all App data by using the "Reset All Settings" option in the App or by uninstalling it.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
